Guest WiFi Terms
For guests connecting to WiFi at a venue that runs HaloWiFi.
The venue whose name appears on the login page provides this WiFi. HaloWiFi (MassvHalo Pvt. Ltd.) supplies the equipment and platform the venue uses. These terms apply between you and the venue; HaloWiFi’s role is described in the Privacy Policy.
1. Using the WiFi
- The WiFi is offered as a convenience for guests of the venue. The venue may set time limits, data limits, speed limits, or paid tiers, and may change or withdraw the service at any time.
- You must be at least 18 years old to accept these terms on your own behalf, or have a parent or guardian’s permission.
- Connection and speed are not guaranteed. Wireless networks are affected by distance, walls, congestion and the internet connection the venue subscribes to.
2. What you agree not to do
- Use the WiFi for anything unlawful, including infringing copyright, distributing malware, or accessing systems you are not authorised to access.
- Interfere with the network or other users, including attempting to bypass login, limits or filtering, or scanning or probing the network.
- Run servers, mass-mail, or use the WiFi in a way that consumes an unreasonable share of capacity.
- Attempt to identify or track other users on the network.
The venue may disconnect any device that breaches this section.
3. Your security
Guest WiFi is a shared public network. Guest devices are isolated from each other by default on HaloWiFi networks, but you should still avoid sending sensitive information over sites that do not use HTTPS, keep your device’s software updated, and use a VPN if your employer requires one. Neither the venue nor HaloWiFi is responsible for the security of the sites and services you visit or for data you choose to send over the internet.
4. Your data
To provide the WiFi, the login page may ask for details such as your name, email address or mobile number, and the network records the technical information needed to run your session (your device’s network address, connection times and data used). The venue decides what is asked and how it is used, and is responsible for it; HaloWiFi processes it on the venue’s behalf. Details, including your rights and how to make a request, are in the HaloWiFi Privacy Policy, and the venue’s own notice where it provides one. Browsing content is not inspected or recorded.
If you gave permission to receive offers or messages from the venue, you can withdraw it using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting the venue.
5. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the venue and HaloWiFi are not liable for loss arising from your use of the WiFi, including interruption, loss of data, or the actions of third parties on the internet. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you are in.
6. Changes and contact
HaloWiFi may update these standard terms, and your venue may add its own; the version and date at the top show the current version of this document. Questions about the WiFi at a venue go to the venue. Questions about HaloWiFi’s role, or a privacy request you could not resolve with the venue, go to [email protected].
